Having run for over 30, seeing the likes of The Futureheads and Frankie and the Heartstrings come through their doors, The Bunker has helped thousands of local young people providing all things musical to people who would perhaps not experience it. With 16 soundproof rooms to rent out at cracking low prices, The Bunker should the first place your band checks out to rehearse within. Located at 29 Stockton Road, SR2 7AQ, The Bunker also provides multiple training courses for music tech and business based subjects including Event Management, Live Sound Engineering, DJ Skills, Sound and Music Technology. Here at Guitar Lessons Sunderland we fully support The Bunker & love to see our guitar students get involved with the project.
Room3Recording is a fantastic recording studio that has seen the likes of The Futureheads, Frankie and the Heartstrings, Leatherface and Brilliant Mind record there alongside numerous other bands. Rentable for just £100 for an 8 hour recording day - cracking value if you ask me - Room3Recording Studios is the studios located at The Bunker, Stockton Road, SR2 7AQ designed especially for up and coming bands to record within. Ran by resident recording engineer Neil Bassett, formerly drummer in XL Recording artists The Golden Virgins the studio will undoubtedly capture your band at the best it will sound producing a great EP.
High Fidelity Studios is a fantastic rehearsal studio located in Unit 233 Alexandra Business Park, SR4 6UG, that has an onstage performance area to simulate your gigs. With excellent equipment provided as standard - two Marshall all-valve half stacks (DSL 50 and TSL 60), Line6 Lowdown 300 Modelling Bass amp & three Mapex drum kits - High Fidelity is one of the best places to practise in Sunderland. With free coffee & jelly babies the room is rentable for just £20 per hour, or £200 for a 10 hour day - a great for the service provided.
